PDP House of Reps aspirant wants more women participation in 2023 elections

Chinwe Nnabuife, House of Representatives aspirant for Orumba South/Orumba North Federal Constituency of Anambra, has called for more women participation in the 2023 elections.
Contesting on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party, the aspirant made the call after submitting her expression of interest and nomination forms at PDP’s secretariat in Awka on Monday.
She said the electoral act amendment signed by President Muhammadu Buhari had made it easier for women in Anambra and Nigeria to excel in future elections.
The aspirant said those attempting to rig the 2023 elections will fail, “because with the electronic transmission of results, nobody can manipulate the results.”
The politician said her “strong belief is that votes will count,” stating that politicians now need to market themselves to the electorates to win elections.
She urged the PDP and other parties to provide enabling environment for women participation in the coming elections.
Making her second attempt for the same position, Mrs Nnabuife added that Nigeria could be liberated from its challenges if more women participate in governance.
