PDP constitutes 152-member campaign council for Edo election

The Peoples Democratic Party has constituted a 152-member national campaign council for Edo governorship elections, scheduled for September 16.
Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa chairs the council.
This was announced in a statement by the party’s spokesman, Debo Ologunagba, on Wednesday.
The party said the council will be inaugurated on June 11.
The statement said the National Working Committee is committed to ensuring victory for the party in the Edo election.
Other members of the campaign council, it said, are Governors Kefas Agbu and Sheriff Oborevwori, former President Goodluck Jonathan, former Vice-Presidents Atiku Abubakar and Namadi Sambo, PDP’s BoT chair Adolphus Wabara, PDP national chairman, Umar Damagun, etc.
