Pastor Adefarasin celebrates Tinubu’s sacking of ex-CBN chief Emefiele

Paul Adefarasin, senior pastor of House on the Rock Church, has celebrated the suspension and arrest of former Central Bank Governor Godwin Emefiele, saying it is the greatest news since President Bola Tinubu assumed office on May 29.
Mr Emefiele was suspended last week Friday and has been detained for investigation by the State Security Service.
Excited by Mr Emefiele’s ordeal, Mr Adefarasin in a viral video of his sermon seen on social media, described the development as the “greatest news” since Mr Tinubu assumed office.
“The greatest news I heard since the beginning of this administration is that a certain individual who misguided and deformed the wealth of this nation has been arrested and he has been fired,” Mr Adefarasin as his Church members cheered.
“It is a sign from heaven that something is about to happen in our nation. There are many believers under the sound of my voice, and a new thing is about to happen,” he added.
Mr Emefiele championed the naira redesign policy under immediate past President Muhammadu Buhari that saw citizens suffer severe cash crunch for months as old N500, N200 and N10,000 notes were withdrawn from circulation.
The policy eventually failed and old notes were returned into circulation.
