The Global Fund has allocated over $281 million to Pakistan to combat HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria for the next three years.

A spokesperson for the Ministry of National Health Services Regulations and Coordination, Sajid Hussain Shah, said the fund helped Pakistan to counter diseases and will continue for the upcoming three years.

The official said the funds would be transferred to national departments dealing with disease control across the country to help protect the local community from HIV, tuberculosis and malaria.

The official said that in November, a decision was adopted to make the allocation for 2023-2025 for building resilient and sustainable health systems in Pakistan.
