The police have said they could not quickly reach Dutse Dan Ajiya to rescue 38 villagers killed by rampaging terrorists due to difficulty navigating the terrain to reach the village.

Explaining the difficulty in navigating the terrain, Mr Abubakar said that to reach the village, “you must cross two rivers before getting to the village. When we had the distress call, we had to mobilised both the vigilante, the police to go to the village.”
He added, “But, unfortunately, our vehicles got hooked on the road, because of the terrian. We managed to get to the village. On arrival, we found out thay the havoc has already been done.”
