Ogun pilgrims pray for Tinubu, MKO Abiola in Mecca

On Monday, the Ogun Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board organised a special prayer for democracy hero, the late MKO Abiola, Saudi Arabia.
This is contained in a statement by the Amirul Hajj in Ogun, Kamaldeen Balogun, from Saudi Arabia on Monday.
Speaking at the prayer session, Mr Balogun said the late politician’s name remained indelible as one who fought for the democracy enjoyed by all today.
Mr Balogun described his love for the country as purely genuine.
He stated that June 12 was a day to remember a hero who fought and sacrificed his life for Nigeria and prayed for a successful tenure for the present administration in Ogun State and the country.
A member of the board, Imam Tajudeen Ashaye, eulogised Mr Abiola’s love for Nigeria to the extent of sacrificing his life for the people to enjoy the dividends of democracy.
The consultant to Governor Dapo Abiodun on Islamic Affairs, Iskeel Lawal, said Mr Abiola was remembered for his good deeds while alive, praying that Allah grant him aljanah.
