Ogun man jailed for stealing aluminum window

The Ota Magistrates’ Court, Ogun, on Wednesday sentenced a 28-year-old man, Mathew Olalekan, to one month in prison for stealing an aluminum window worth N500,000.
The magistrate, O.O. Fadairo, however, gave Olalekan an option of a N20,000 fine.
Mr Fadairo said the prosecution proved beyond reasonable doubt that the convict was guilty of the charge brought against him.
Earlier, the prosecutor, ASP E.O. Adaraloye, told the court that Mr Olalekan committed the offence at about 5:00 a.m. on March 23, in the Onibukun area of Ota.
Mr Adaraloye said the convict entered an uncompleted building and stole an aluminum window valued at N500,000, belonging to the complainant, Ojo Olufemi.
