Obasanjo inaugurates flyover in Adamawa

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo inaugurated a flyover in Yola on Wednesday.
The inauguration is part of activities marking the first anniversary of Governor Ahmadu Fintiri’s second term in office.
Mr Obasanjo described the project as Adamawa unity centre, saying it was first of its kind in the region.
The former president commended Mr Fintiri for a job well done and urged him to continue to do more for the people of the state, especially in the area of security.
According to him, ensuring security will enable rural development, allow people to produce food, create job opportunities, and provide wealth for a good life.
In his address, Mr Fintiri said that the flyover was one of the fastest-delivered projects in the country and the world, and it was constructed to ease the traffic grid in the state capital.
The governor said the project was executed for the people and to attract investors to Adamawa for economic development.
He thanked Mr Obasanjo for his contributions to the state’s development and for personally inaugurating the project.
“The project means a lot to our people, and that is why I named it Adamawa Unity Bridge for the benefit of humanity,” Mr Fintiri said.
