Nurse, PoS operators caught selling new naira notes

The EFCC says it has arrested two point of sale (PoS) operators and a nurse in Kwara for selling new naira notes.
According to an EFCC statement on Sunday, the PoS operators are Sallah Asmau Wuraola, Owoduni Abdullahi Isa (aka Bolaji) and the nurse, Shuaibu Rukayat.
“The arrest of the suspects followed credible intelligence on elements selling new naira notes to people at event centers, night clubs, hotels and parties without due authorisation. Wuraola and Rukayat were caught with the sum of N1,220,000.00 while Isa was arrested with the sum of N150,000.00,” the EFCC said.
The anti-graft agency states that the suspects would be prosecuted.
