NSF: Kwara contingent departs Kwara for zonal elimination game in Plateau

About 71 athletes and officials of the Kwara State Sports Commission on Sunday departed Ilorin for Jos, Plateau State, to participate in the North Central Zonal Eliminations ahead of the National Sports Festival.
Addressing the contingent, the Executive Chairman of the Commission, Bola Mogaji charged the athletes to go for victory to secure a ticket to the sports festival in Abeokuta.
He encouraged them to leave no stone unturned to qualify from the zonal competition and ensure participation at the festival in May.
He also urged the athletes to “put up the winning spirit with determination to make the state proud in Jos.”
The contingent, headed by the Director of Sports, Ibrahim Bako will participate in four sports namely: Cricket, Football, Beach volleyball and Volleyball.
The North-Central zonal eliminations will hold from February 23 to February 28 in Jos.
