NSCDC hands over two arrested Ondo drug peddlers to NDLEA for prosecution

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in Ondo State have arrested two suspected drug peddlers in the Shasha market of Akure North Local Government Area of the state.
The suspects were named as Victor Chukwudi Amoke and Timilehin Abed.
The state spokesman for the NSCDC, Daniel Aidamenbor disclosed this in a statement in Akure, the state capital.
Mr Aidamenbor alleged that the duo were traders in various forms of narcotics in the state.
He said both men were apprehended at their hideout in Benue Hotel Area, Shasha Market, Oba Ile, Akure North Local Government Area of the state.
According to him, the items recovered from the suspects include; cannabis, tramadol, loud, and ice among several other hard drugs.
Noting that the two suspects have also confessed to the crime, Mr Aidamenbor said that they would be handed over to the anti-narcotic agency for further investigation and prosecution.
He added, “The suspects have handed over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency for prosecution.’’
Recall that the NDLEA had a fortnight ago raised the alarm over the activities of drug addicts and peddlers in Akure, the state capital.
Commander of the NDLEA in the state, Kayoed Raji, had also vowed to go after the drug dealers and checkmate the activities of those abusing drugs to perpetrate crime in the state.
