NSCDC deploys 2,050 personnel for Eld-el-Fitr celebration in Kaduna

The Katsina command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has deployed 2,050 operatives to provide security during the Eid-el Fitr celebration in the state.
The NSCDC commandant in the state, Jamilu Indabawa, said this in his Sallah operation order issued in Katsina on Monday.
Mr Indabawa was represented by the head of operations, DC Nuhu Dalha, during a meeting with the command’s senior management team.
According to him, the personnel will also be stationed at strategic locations to protect critical national assets and infrastructure.
He also charged the relevant heads of departments and units, area commanders, divisional officers, components commanders and special forces on diligence and provision of watertight security in the state.
“Personnel deployed are to be vigilant, diligent, professional and synergise with other security agencies in ensuring smooth and hitch free Sallah celebration,” he said.
He said priority should be placed on prayer grounds, recreational/events centres, motor parks and markets.
Mr Indabawa also said locations in Katsina and Daura Emirate Councils and relevant facilities belonging to federal, state and local governments must be guarded well.
“Adequate undercover operatives are already detailed and deployed for these operations to very sensitive locations to provide timely and actionable intelligence that will help to contain all activities of miscreants in the state,” he said.
The NSCDC commandant enjoined the general public to report suspicious movements of persons or items to the nearest security office.
He congratulated all the muslim faithful in the state and globally, and also called for a peaceful Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
