NSCDC arrests four suspected streetlight vandals in FCT

The FCT command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested four men for allegedly vandalising streetlights.
The NSCDC FCT commandant, Olusola Odumosu, while briefing reporters on Friday at the command’s headquarters, said the suspects were arrested in different parts of Abuja.
Mr Odumosu said the suspects were between 19 and 51 years.
He said officers arrested one Japheth Adams and his 51-year-old accomplice, Friday Ojo, while vandalising a medium streetlight pole around Eden Garden in the Utako area of the FCT.
Mr Odumosu said the other two suspects, Ibrahim Aliyu and Hassan Abdullahi, were caught vandalising street light poles at about 2:00 a.m. along the Moshood Abiola Stadium area on Thursday.
The commandant said the suspects were currently undergoing investigation, after which due diligence would be followed to ensure that justice was served.
Mr Odumosu warned other vandals to stop the illegal act, as officers were on 24-hour surveillance and patrol of the FCT and environs.
He urged residents to cooperate by always giving the Corps credible intelligence and information.
