NRC promises to address Warri-Itakpe train ticketing malpractices

The management of the Warri-Itakpe train service of the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) says it is determined to tackle and resolve every ticket and pricing malpractice issue involving its staff.
This is contained in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja by Sanni Abdulganiyu, the coordinator of the Warri-Itakpe Train Service.
Mr Abdulganiyu said the corporation understood the public’s disappointment over the recent incidents of malpractice involving some staff.
He assured the populace that an internal review was underway to address such misconduct among the staff.
According to him, providing fair and trustworthy service is the corporation’s top priority, and it is committed to making things right.
“We have been actively working to prevent such issues, and in light of these reports, we are increasing our efforts. Anyone found responsible will be held accountable.
“We’re also stepping up monitoring and improving our ticketing process to prevent overcharging and make our services more transparent,” Mr Abdulganiyu said.
He added that the NRC is setting up a hotline to make reporting ticketing issues easier.
