NPFL: Enyimba FC aim for three points against Kwara United

Enyimba International FC assistant coach, Yemi Olanrewaju, has said that his team will go all out to get the maximum points against Kwara United in Ilorin.
Enyimba will take on Kwara United in the ongoing Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) match day 27 on Sunday.
Olarenwaju, who stated this while adressing journalists on Saturday in Aba, said the team hopes to consolidate on the good run of three consecutive wins with a win over their hosts, Kwara United.
He said that the encounter would be a tough one as Kwara United are currently in the relegation zone.
“It is going to be a tough game because they are fighting against relegation. But we are going to fight for the maximum points,” he said.
Enyimba played two state FA cup matches against Ngwa United and Jaguar FC, winning the two matches before travelling for the match against Kwara.
Enyimba’s new acquisition, Bernard Ovoke, insisted that the Elephants will go all out for the three points to consolidate their position in the league.
“We are expecting nothing less than total victory and we are going there to pick up the maximum three points.
“I know the game would be difficult but it is the three points we want and we have made up our minds on that,” Ovoke said.
The Elephants defeated the Afonja Warriors in the reverse fixture played in November 2023 with a spot kick from Chijioke Mbaoma.
Enyimba occupy third position on the log with 45 points from 26 matches while Kwara United are on 29 points from 25 matches.
