Noheem Balogun wins Epe PDP Reps ticket

A two-time contender Noheem Balogun has clinched the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ticket for the Epe federal constituency.
Balogun polled 27 votes to beat his rival, Ayinde Abubakar-Damilare, who had 26 votes at the election held inside Salako Hall in Epe.
Returning officer Shakiru Adegbite announced the primary election result, declaring Mr Balogun the winner.
Mr Adegbite described the election as keenly contested.
The primary election was first held on May 22 but was cancelled.
After the election, Mr Balogun thanked his supporters and appealed to all PDP members in the constituency to join hands to ensure victory for the party in the 2023 general elections.
The accreditation for the election started at 7:15 p.m., and the result was announced at 9:25 p.m.
