NLO directs clubs to secure home grounds, display sponsorship panels

The Nationwide League One (NLO) has directed clubs participating in its cup competition to provide adequate security, designate home grounds, and prominently display pitch-side panels featuring club names, partners, and sponsors.
In a publication on its official website, the NLO emphasised the need for proper venue preparation, effective security arrangements, and adequate facility maintenance to ensure matches run smoothly throughout the competition.
The league directed participating clubs to ensure that their playing surfaces, dressing rooms and other ancillary facilities were in good condition and ready for match-day operations.
It also urged clubs to take advantage of pitch-side branding to improve sponsor visibility, strengthen commercial partnerships and attract potential investors.
The NLO emphasised that compliance with the directive was mandatory, warning that clubs that failed to meet the requirements could face sanctions determined by the Competition Organising Committee.
It urged all participating clubs to take the necessary measures to comply with the directive in the interest of safety, professionalism and the development of grassroots football in Nigeria.
The NLO Cup is part of the league’s efforts to give participating clubs competitive opportunities and promote football development across the country.
