Nigeria’s Super Falcons to face France in high profile friendly game

As part of the process of blooding a new squad ahead of the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, the Super Falcons will take on the senior women’s national team of France, Les Bleues, in a high-profile friendly match in Angers later this month.
According to the statement released by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Tuesday, the tie between the two football giants is scheduled for November 30 at the Stade Raymond Kopa in the city of Angers, with kick-off set for 9:30 p.m. local time.
The game would play a crucial role in Nigeria’s bid to introduce new faces to the Falcons’ squad ahead of next year’s WAFCON, while it will also serve as part of the Les Bleues preparations for the League of Nations in the spring and the 2025 UEFA Euro Women Championship in Switzerland in the summer.
Falcons would hope to build on the impressive performance against Algeria late last month when Nigeria thrashed the Green Ladies 6-1 on aggregate in a doubleheader friendly game in the West African nation.
Nigeria won the first leg 2-0 at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne on October 26 before securing a massive 4-1 victory against the North African country three days later at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos three days later.
