Nigerians should elect only qualified people in 2023: Peter Obi

Peter Obi, Labour Party presidential candidate, has called for a reevaluation of the Nigerian political system to guarantee that only qualified candidates are elected into office.
“I encouraged participants to re-evaluate Nigeria’s leadership selection process to ensure that only the most qualified leaders are elected into office,” Mr Obi said.
The former Anambra governor attended the National Integrity Summit in Abuja on Saturday, speaking under the theme: “Restoring the Integrity of Our Electoral System and the Future of Our Nigerian Democracy.”
Mr Obi picked the presidential nomination of the Labour Party on May 31, emerging promptly as one of the three contenders for the office, alongside Atiku Abubakar, Bola Tinubu and Rabiu Kwankwaso.
