Netizens have criticised First Lady Oluremi Tinubu for campaigning for her husband’s re-election on Facebook.

Mrs Tinubu took to social media on Thursday to seek another term for her husband, Bola Tinubu, whose administration celebrated two years of the first four years in office on May 29.

“4 + 4 = 8 🇳🇬❤️✅,” the first lady posted on Facebook on Thursday, sparking reactions from Nigerians on social media.

Some responded, “God forbid,” while others said the first lady must be dreaming to wish re-election for her husband.

Responding to Mrs Tinubu’s post, a Facebook user, Delight Delight Ann said, “God forbid ooooo. We cancel it in Jesus name Amen.” Another user, Musa Zaranda, said “God forbid. ADC whether I like or not.”

“Wake up from your dreaming, you will finish the remaining 4 in Lagos,” Almahi Almusoban Al Hassan said, while Ike Johnstanley C said, “Hahaha, can someone wake her up…. she’s having malaria.”

Lamenting prevailing economic hardship under Mr Tinubu, another facebook user, Mika’il Turaki Yalawa, “No one will vote you again, hunger, puberty, insecurity, injustice.”

Abubakar Junaid Binoni said, “Stay there! No, go look for a better place in Lagos that looks like a villa to return to in 2027.”

Some of the Facebook users vowed to send Mrs Tinubu and her husband back to Lagos with their votes in 2027. Some politicians have adopted the African Democratic Congress as the official coalition party to unseat Mr Tinubu in 2027.
