Nigerians demanding Buhari’s certificates are mad; people asking for Tinubu’s should enter bush: Keyamo

Junior labour minister Festus Keyamo says those questioning the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate Bola Tinubu’s certificates should go into the bush to look for the APC standard-bearer’s credentials.
He further asserted that Nigerians still demanding President Muhammadu Buhari’s educational certificates were mad people.
“Anybody looking for Bola Tinubu’s certificate until now, the person should enter the bush to look for certificates. It just like they did to Buhari since 2015,” Mr Keyamo said.
He added, “They have been shouting Buhari’s certificate; the man is finishing his eight years tenure now. His picture is hung on the villa wall as a past president; meanwhile, some mad people are still looking for his certificate.”
The minister stressed that “they should continue to enter the bush while the man is finishing his tenure.”
“So the people who insist on Tinubu’s certificate will see him being sworn in as president,” said Mr Keyamo.
The junior labour minister, who doubles as spokesman for the All Progressives Congress presidential campaign organisation promoting the candidature of Bola Tinubu, disclosed this in a Twitter space hosted by the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Media Centre on Sunday.
Citing documents released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Peoples Gazette in June reported how Mr Tinubu told the INEC that he didn’t attend primary and secondary schools.
The former Lagos governor claimed he had two degrees from two American universities, which he further stated had been stolen by unknown soldiers during the military junta of the 1990s.
Similar to Mr Buhari in 2015, Mr Tinubu’s certificate scandal elicited debates among many Nigerians.
Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) mocked Mr Tinubu over his certificate saga.
