Nigerians can see my father Tinubu’s ‘monumental’ achievements in first year as president: Sanwo-Olu

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu says Nigerians can see his godfather, President Bola Tinubu’s “monumental” achievement in his first year as leader of Nigeria.
Mr Sanwo-Olu made this call at the inauguration of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway project by Mr Tinubu to commemorate his first year in office.
“It’s an honour that now that you are our president, we can see monumental things happening as you have done in this state,” Mr Sanwo-Olu said, calling the president his “father and leader.”
The governor added, “I want to stand here, truly proud as a Lagosian and one of your sons, say that indeed you are doing well.”
Mr Sanwo-Olu described the inaugurated project as an “audacious step” by the Tinubu-led government and said it will facilitate economic development across the states it runs through.
The Lagos governor said, “I stand here truly proud as a man who has seen this transformation going on. The future of this is not only in Lagos. Because this road goes into Ogun state, Ondo state, Edo state, transverse Delta state, gets into Rivers state, gets into Bayelsa state, gets into Akwa Ibom State before it finally stops at Cross River.”
Mr Sanwo-Olu added, “Mr President, you deserve a big round of applause. This is not about you. This is about writing a future we all dream about. Thank you. Thank you for your audacious step.”
Speaking at the inauguration, Mr Tinubu said construction of the 700km Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway would revolutionise transportation in Nigeria and boost each zone’s unique economic strength.
