NDLEA commends officers’ commitment to drug war in 2024

The narcotic commander (NC) in charge of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Ogun Command, Tijani Rabe, has commended the efforts of officers in disrupting illicit drug trafficking in 2024.
Mr Rabe told journalists in Abeokuta on Saturday that the unwavering dedication reduced illicit drug trade in the state.
According to him, the officers worked tirelessly.
“The officers worked tirelessly to ensure that the anti-narcotic mandate is fulfilled. I appreciate their diligence which is instrumental to these successes.
“I extend this gratitude to the government, residents, sister agencies and all partners for their unwavering support and cooperation,” he said.
Mr Rabe said the command’s special operation, “Operation Closed Gates, ” launched in 2024, would be extended to necessary routes in 2025.
He said the command would engage in more advocacy initiatives to expose residents, especially the youths, to the dangers of illicit drug consumption in 2025.
“No effort will be spared to remove illicit drug traders from the security challenges facing the country.
“Commendations apart, NDLEA, we still have to push harder. Commanders, officers and men of NDLEA can not afford to rest on their oars,” he said.
