NAWOJ congratulates new national president, others

The Kaduna chapter of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists has congratulated Aisha Ibrahim-Bura on her emergence as NAWOJ’s new national president.
The association has also felicitated the new national auditor, Jamila Abubakar-Chinwe and the new Zone ‘A’ secretary, Daharatu Aliyu, according to a Monday statement jointly signed by NAWOJ chair in Kaduna, Fatima Aliyu and the secretary, Maureen Sheyin.
The association also praised the emergence of NAWOJ deputy president Lilian Okonkwo-Ogabu, the national secretary; Wasilah Ibrahim-Ladan, the national treasurer; Fatimah Rasheed, the national financial secretary; Ifeoma Aka, assistant national secretary; Aisha Cole and national auditor, Jemilah Abubakar.
The statement said the emergence of the new executive would unite the association’s members and bring development to the association.
It described the new officers as a great team that would bring development to all the members across the country.
Ms Ibrahim-Bura defeated the incumbent national president, Ladi Bala, at the just-concluded 11th Triennial Delegates Conference in Abuja.
