Nasarawa speaker empowers 200 constituents

The speaker of the Nasarawa House of Assembly, Danladi Jatau, has disbursed N20,000 each to 200 of his constituents in the Kokona Local Government Area of the state.
The speaker said this was to cushion the current hardship in the country and improve the constituents’ standard of living.
Mr Jatau, representing the Kokona West constituency, disbursed the funds during an expanded stakeholders meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Kokona LGA in Garaku on Saturday.
According to the speaker, he convened the meeting to foster unity among party members in the area and to appreciate them for supporting him.
He urged the beneficiaries to ensure judicious use of the money in order to better their living and that of their family members.
The speaker urged stakeholders and party faithful to imbibe the spirit of forgiveness and work harmoniously for APC to succeed beyond 2027.
He, however, appealed to Governor Abdullahi Sule for the appointment of more sons and daughters of Kokona LGA into his cabinet.
On their parts, John Mamman, Commissioner for Education; Daniel Ogazi (APC- Kokona East); Awalu Adamu, the chairman of Kokona LGA; and Jacob Terry, APC chairman in Kokona LGA, all appreciated the speaker for the meeting.
