Nasarawa Eggon community gets new health centre

Godiya Akwashiki (SDP-Nasarawa North) donated a primary healthcare centre he built to Ungwan Chiyawa in Nasarawa Eggon on Tuesday.
The handover was done by one of his aides, Ajegena Ibrahim.
In a message to the community, the senator said the gesture aimed to improve the health status of people of the area and its environs.
Mr Akwashiki said it was also aimed at addressing emergency cases of road crashes, considering the strategic location of the healthcare centre on the shoulder of a highway.
“I decided to build this primary healthcare centre to improve the health status of our people and other Nigerians. The centre is located close to the Akwanga Highway and will go a long way in addressing the health challenges of other Nigerians,’’ he stated.
Mr Akwashiki assured of his continued determination to provide infrastructure to improve the lives of the people of his senatorial district and other Nigerians.
He called on people in the area to take ownership of the hospital.
The senator also assured his people of quality representation at the National Assembly.
The supervisory councillor for health in the Nasarawa Eggon council area, Jabiru Abdullahi, commended Mr Akwashiki for choosing Ungwan Chiyawa for the project.
