Nasarawa assembly confirms Mohammed new BPP director-general

Nasarawa House of Assembly has screened and confirmed the appointment of Umar Mohammed as the director-general of the Nasarawa State Bureau of Public Procurement.
Danladi Jatau, the speaker of the assembly, announced this after the lawmakers screening the nominee on Monday in Lafia.
Mr Jatau, while congratulating the nominee, urged him to ensure transparency and accountability when discharging his duties.
The speaker directed the clerk of the house to communicate the resolution to Governor Abdullahi Sule for further necessary action.
Earlier, Suleiman Azara, majority leader of the assembly, moved a motion for the nominee’s confirmation, which Luka Zhekaba, the minority leader, seconded.
The house unanimously confirmed the appointment of Mr Mohammed as BPP director-general.
