Naira continues slide against dollar ahead of inauguration

Nigeria’s currency maintained its downward slope against the American dollar as the advent of a new administration approaches.
On Friday, at the Investors and Exporters window, the naira traded at N464.51 to the dollar, a 0.18 per cent increase against the N463.67 to the dollar traded on Thursday.
The open indicative rate closed at N463.75 to the dollar on Friday.
An exchange rate of N632 to the dollar was the highest rate recorded within Friday’s trading before it settled at N464.51.
The naira sold for as low as 410 to the dollar within the day’s trading.
A total of 144.72 million dollars was traded at the official Investors and Exporters window on Friday.
