NAFDAC seizes counterfeit wines worth ₦41.2 Million in Nasarawa

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has seized counterfeit and adulterated wines and spirits worth ₦41.2 million in Nasarawa State.
In a statement on its X handle on Monday, NAFDAC said the seizures were made during a raid of markets in Mararaba, New Nyanya and Masaka.
It read, “NAFDAC has conducted a major raid on wine shops in Mararaba Market and the New Nyanya and Masaka areas of Nasarawa State.
“The operation targeted counterfeit and adulterated wines and spirits, resulting in the seizure of products valued at over ₦41.2 million.”
The agency said its investigation and enforcement team is investigating the importers or manufacturers of the seized counterfeit drinks.
Consumers were, therefore, urged to remain vigilant and report suspicious products to NAFDAC for immediate action.
