NAF, NSCDC pledge stronger security collaboration in Katsina

The Nigerian Air Force and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps have reiterated their commitment to deepen collaboration and intelligence sharing to enhance internal security in Katsina.
The collaboration, which aims to renew the push to tackle security challenges in the state, will also enhance the protection of critical national assets.
This resolve was underscored on Wednesday in Katsina, during a courtesy visit to the NSCDC command by CE Illoh, the Joint Force Air Component commander, Operation Fansan Yamma Sector ll.
Mr Illoh also serves as the commander of the 213 Forward Operating Base, NAF Katsina.
Speaking during the visit, Mr Illoh highlighted the long-standing cordial relationship between the NAF and the NSCDC in the state, describing the corps as a strategic partner in the nation’s internal security architecture.
He stated that the NSCDC occupied a “special and unique position” in protecting critical national assets and infrastructure.
Mr Illoh stressed the need for sustained synergy, collaboration, and timely sharing of credible intelligence among security agencies to effectively address emerging threats.
In his response, the NSCDC commandant in Katsina, Abbas Moriki, welcomed Mr Illoh and commended the NAF for its sustained commitment to addressing the lingering security challenges confronting Katsina.
Mr Moriki reaffirmed the strong working relationship between the two agencies and assured readiness to further strengthen collaboration in the interest of peace and security in Katsina.
