My wife planning to elope with apostle, husband tells court

Tersoo Yese on Wednesday asked the Makurdi Upper Area Court II to dissolve his 13-year-old marriage to Susan following her alleged plans to elope abroad with a clergyman.
Mr Yese, in his petition, said, “My marriage from the onset is characterised by crisis, abuse, disobedience, misunderstanding, lies, manipulation, hate and rage.”
The petitioner said he married Ms Susan in 2010. He said their marriage produced four children
“Susan indulges in extra-marital affairs and fetish. Her plan is to join her lover, (Apostle Emmanuel), who operates from the UK and Abuja,” he alleged.
The petitioner alleged that his estranged wife saved N500,000 from the money he gave her for the house upkeep, and she and her lover planned to take his four children abroad.
Mr Yese said the marriage had collapsed irretrievably and urged the court to dissolve it and grant him custody of the children.
However, when the case was mentioned, Ms Susan opposed the dissolution of the marriage.
The magistrate, Dooshima Ikpambes, asked the parties to explore an out-of-court settlement and report to the court.
Ms Ikpabese further adjourned the case until July 10 for a hearing.
