Muslims should use Ramadan to pray for political leaders, Orji Kalu requests

The Chief Whip of the Senate, Orji Kalu, has urged the Muslim Ummah to use the holy month of Ramadan to offer prayers for political leaders at all levels.
“The Muslim Ummah should use this holy month to pray for leaders at all levels of government,” Mr Kalu said in his goodwill message issued on Saturday in Abuja.
He stressed that the country would be better if citizens respect beliefs of other religions.
Describing the month as a holy season which should be dedicated to the service of Allah, Mr Kalu said that forgiveness, togetherness, almsgiving and generosity must be upheld beyond Ramadan.
He admonished Muslims to embrace the teachings of the Holy Quran and exemplary lifestyle of Prophet Muhammed in their daily endeavours.
“The teachings of Holy Quran and exemplary qualities of Prophet Muhammed must be sustained in the month of Ramadan and beyond. Let us demonstrate love, forgiveness, peace and generosity during this holy season.”
