The police on Thursday arraigned a 22-year-old mechanic, Waris Tijani, over alleged N1.5 million car fraud.
Tijani, of no fixed address, was charged with obtaining money under false pretences and stealing before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, Oyo State.

Mr Balogun said the offences contravened Sections 419 and 390(9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The Magistrate, Mrs Olasinmibo Sanusi-Zubair, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N500, 000 with two sureties in like sum.
She adjourned the case until November 18, for hearing.
