Manchester City wallop Red Devils in five-goal thriller

Manchester City on Sunday demolished their local rivals Manchester United 4-1 in the English Premier League derby.
Sunday night’s five goal thriller saw City maintain firm grip atop the EPL log, while United slipped to fifth position.
Kevin De Bruyne gave City a good start at the Etihad stadium, scoring barely five minutes into the game.
Jardon Sancho levelled up for United few minutes later, cancelling out De Bruyne’s early goal.
However, De Bruyne restored City’s lead, netting another goal in the 28th minute, putting City ahead United into the first half break.
City returned to the second half to bury United, scoring two more goals and dominating 70 per cent of ball possession.
While United had just two shots on target with 30 per cent of ball possession, City had 10 shots on target.
Algeria striker, Riyad Mahrez ruined United’s hope of possible come back, scoring in the 68th and 90th minute to bring City’s goal in the game to 4.
Sunday’s humiliating defeat puts Ralf Rangnick’s United in fifth position with 47 points in 28 games behind Arsenal.
