Man in court for allegedly stealing generator

A 23-year-old man, Saheed Muiz, was on Wednesday arraigned in a Grade ‘A’ Customary Court, Ibadan, Oyo State, for allegedly stealing a generator belonging to a church.
Muiz, whose address was not provided, was charged with house-breaking and stealing but he pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The Prosecutor, Philip Amusan, told the court that the defendant allegedly committed the offence on April 13, at about 10.00 a.m, at Ologunero area, Ibadan.
Amusan alleged that the defendant stole the generator, worth N450,000 belonging to Zion Faith Mission church.
He alleged that the defendant on April 17, at Ologunero area, also broke into the house of Rosemary Oyatokun and stole her generator, worth N160,000.
He said the offences contravened Sections 412 and 390(9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The court President, Moji Aworemi, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N350,000 with two sureties in like sum.
She thereafter adjourned the case until May 21 for hearing.
