Man arrested for stabbing wife, bathing her with hot oil during argument

Operatives of the Ogun State Police Command on Saturday arrested One Kazeem Sholola, at Ring Road Community, Owode-Egba, for allegedly inflicting his wife, Mutiat Kazeem, with injuries during misunderstanding.
In a statement on Saturday by the spokesperson for the command, Omolola Odutola, the suspect allegedly bathed his wife with hot oil, and thereafter, stabbed her on the head in anger.
Members of the community were said to have informed the Owode-Egba Division of the command who swiftly responded by arresting the suspect.
Ms Odutola in the statement said, “On January 18, 2025, at about 12:20 hrs the divisional police officer received a report from members of the Ring Road community regarding an incident involving Sholola Kazeem, a male resident, and his wife, Sholola Mutiat, who reside at the same address. It was reported that Sholola Kazeem, in an uncontrollable anger over a misunderstanding, poured hot oil over his wife’s body and also stabbed her in the head.”
According to the statement, the victim has been taken to a private hospital in the community for medical attention and the suspect undergoing investigation.
