Man arraigned for threatening another with charms

A 45-year-old man, Endurance Jagun, who allegedly dropped charms at the office door of a complainant, on Monday appeared before the Ojo Magistrates’ Court in Lagos.
Mr Jagun is standing trial on a two-count charge bordering on a threat to life and causing a breach of peace.
He, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges before Magistrate L J.k Layeni.
The prosecutor, Simon Uche, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on March 27 at the China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation, LASU Project in Ojo.
Mr Uche alleged that the defendant, who had a misunderstanding with the complainant, Adekunle Adeshina, resorted to threatening his life.
The prosecutor said that to make good his threat, the defendant allegedly dropped charms at the office door of the complainant but was apprehended.
Mr Uche said the defendant also conducted himself in a manner likely to cause a breach of public peace following his acts.
The offences contravene sections 56 and 168 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015
The court, however, granted the defendant an N100,000 bail with one surety in like sum.
He adjourned the case until May 10 for trial.
