Man arraigned for allegedly stealing 200 bags of cement

A 28-year-old man, Hammed Waheed, was on Thursday arraigned in an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan for allegedly stealing 200 bags of cement.
Mr Waheed, whose residential address was not provided, is charged with conspiracy and theft.
The Prosecutor, Mr Philip Amusan, told the court that Mr Waheed and others, at large, committed the offence on February 21, at 11. 30 a.m, at Oke-Ado area, Ibadan.
The police alleged that Mr Waheed stole the bags of cement belonging to one Tunrayo Adeogun.
He said the offence contravened the provisions of Sections 516 and 390(9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The defendant however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The Magistrate, Mrs Olasinmibo Sanusi-Zubair, admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N300, 000 with two reliable sureties in like sum.
She adjourned the case until March 20 for hearing. (NAN)
