Man, 25, arraigned over allegedly theft of hair weave-on worth N300,000

A 25-year-old man, Onyebuchi Emelumba, on Wednesday appeared before an Ojo Magistrates’ Court in Lagos, for allegedly stealing hair weave-on valued at N300,000.
The defendant is standing trial on a three-count charge of conspiracy, burglary and stealing.
The prosecutor, ASP Simon Uche, told the court that the defendant committed the offences on January 6, at the Trade Fair Complex in Ojo.
He alleged that the defendant with others, now at large, unlawfully entered the shop of the complainant, Ikenna Oguegbu, stealing 22 pieces of hair weave-on valued at N300,000.
The prosecutor said that the defendant was arrested by the police.
Mr Uche said the offences contravened the provisions of Sections 287, 309 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Magistrate L.K.J Layeni granted the defendant bail in the sum of N300,000 with two sureties in like sum.
He adjourned the case until February 12 for mention.
