Macron calls for joint international action against Hamas

French President, Emmanuel Macron, has suggested taking joint and coordinated international action against Hamas.
“France is ready for the international anti-IS coalition, within which we are engaged for our mission in Iraq and Syria, to also fight Hamas,” Mr Macron said after a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
“I propose to our international partners that we could form a regional and international coalition to fight against the groups that threaten us all.”
He said he believed this was in the interest of Israel and its security, but equally in the interest of some neighbouring countries threatened by the same or related groups.
