A member of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Kola Ologede (APC -Akure North),  has appealed to security agencies to fish out the killers of two members of his constituency.

On Tuesday,  armed assailants killed Lucia Ayelabola, a farmer, and Sunday Oladele, a commercial motorcyclist, at Ago Oyinbo in Igbatoro Familugba Community, Akure North LGA.

Mr Ologede, in a statement on Thursday in Akure, said the deceased were engaging in their legitimate means of survival before their “senseless and barbaric” killings.

The lawmaker described the attacks as “dastardly, ruthless, and reprehensible” and demanded immediate action from security agencies to apprehend the perpetrators and bring them to justice.

“The killings and shootings of my constituents are sad and disturbing developments that must be condemned by all. I urge the security agencies to act swiftly to prevent further attacks and ensure justice is served,” Mr Ologede said.

He commiserated with the victims’ families and pledged to work with authorities to support and protect the affected communities.

The lawmaker also urged the state and federal governments to address the root causes of insecurity and find lasting solutions to the menace of bandit attacks in Ondo.
