Lawmaker restates FG’s commitment to quality healthcare delivery

Rep. Patrick Umoh, chairman of the House Committee on Health Institutions, has restated the government’s commitment to providing quality healthcare to Nigerians.
Mr Umoh gave the assurance in an interview with journalists in Abuja on Tuesday and affirmed the House of Representatives’ commitment to quality health through legislation and oversight.
“We presented a report on a Bill for an Act to establish Federal Medical Centre, Achi, Enugu State.
“Also, a report on an act to establish Federal Medical Centre, Saki, Oyo for the provision of tertiary healthcare services,” he said.
Mr Umoh also affirmed the preparedness of the legislature to ensure health equality for all Nigerians.
The committee on health institutions has also presented the report on a bill to amend the Federal Medical Centres Act.
