Lao president congratulates Putin on reelection

Lao President Thongloun Sisoulith has sent a congratulatory message to Vladimir Putin on his reelection as Russian president.
Mr Thongloun congratulated Mr Putin on his overwhelming victory in the election and the opportunity to serve as president of Russia for another term.
“The result of the election strongly reflects the Russian people’s trust and confidence in the ability and intelligence of your leadership,” Mr Thongloun said in the message.
The Lao president also hoped to work closely with Mr Putin to strengthen further friendly relations and good cooperation based on strategic partnership, mutual understanding and trust.
