Lagos task force impounds 58 motorcycles for violating restriction order

Lagos state task force has impounded 58 motorcycles for violating restriction order.
This is contained in a statement on Friday by Bolanle Ogunlola, deputy director, public affairs, Lagos ministry of transportation.
“The task force, during compliance monitoring on the ban on commercial motorcycles (okada) across several restricted routes and zones in the metropolis, confiscated 58 motorcycles for violating the restriction order.
“The enforcement exercise covered major highways, including Gbagada-Oshodi, Oshodi-Apapa, Mile 2-Badagry Expressway, and Apple Junction.
“The locations covered were subsequently decongested from traffic bottlenecks caused by recalcitrant motorcyclists, to enhance safety and security of commuters and pedestrians,” she said.
She said that enforcement of the order remained a continuous exercise.
