Lagos govt diverts traffic for Christmas youth parade

The Lagos State government has announced traffic diversion on a section of Ajose Adeogun Street, Victoria Island, for the Christmas Youth Parade billed for December 8.
The parade will start at 6:00 a.m. and end at 3:00 p.m.
The state Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, disclosed in a statement on Monday in Lagos.
Mr Osiyemi urged motorists to use alternative routes.
“Motorists heading to Eko Hotel Roundabout from VCP Hotel will be diverted to Jubril Martins Street to turn right into Muri Okunola Street to connect Ligali Ayorinde Street and link Bishop Aboyade Cole Street to Tokunbo Ademola Street to connect their desired destinations.
“Traffic from Ligali Ayorinde Street heading to Eko Hotel Roundabout will be diverted to Bishop Aboyade Cole Street to connect Adetokunbo Ademola Street and continue movement to desired destinations.
“Motorists inward Ajose Adeogun Street from Eko Hotel Roundabout will be diverted to Adetokunbo Ademola Street to turn right into Bishop Aboyade Cole Street and link Muri Okunola Street to connect Jubril Martins Street and link Ajose Adeogun Street for their desired destinations,” he said.
He urged motorists to be patient and assured that the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority officers would ensure seamless traffic flow and safety.
