Kwara United’s chief coach optimistic of team’s improvement as NPFL progresses

Kwara United Football Club’s Chief Coach, Abubakar Dogo, on Sunday expressed optimism that his team would continue to improve as the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League progresses.
Dogo told newsmen after his team won their Match Day 10 game in Ilorin 2-0 against Gombe United FC that he was delighted with his players for performing according to instructions.
“I have the belief that they (the team) will keep improving,” he said.
Kwara United put up an impressive show to beat the visiting Gombe United at the Kwara Stadium Complex. The result meant they consolidated on the away point they secured on Match Day 9 against Bendel Insurance of Benin.
On Sunday, Alao Mohammed put the “Harmony Boys” in the lead in the 27th minute while Abubakar Garba sealed the victory with the second goal.
With the victory, Kwara United are now ninth on the log with 13 points and will now head to Eket to face Akwa United.
Speaking about the match, Kuranga Bawa, a coach with Gombe United, blamed fatigue and tiredness for their loss against Kwara United.
He promised that they would recover in time to return to winning ways against Kano Pillars in their Match Day 11 fixture.
