Kwara govt re-awards contract for 80% completed ICT Innovation Hub

The Kwara government has re-awarded the contract for the ongoing reconstruction of its Information Communication Technology (ICT) Innovation Hub in Ilorin to another contractor, MC&T Limited.
The Director of Personnel, Finance and Supply, Kwara State Ministry of Business Innovation and Technology, Amos Tunde-Thompson, disclosed this on Saturday during the project’s official handing-over to the new contractor.
Mr Tunde-Thompson said the project was already at 80 per cent stage of completion.
He, however, charged the new contractor to align with relevant stakeholders without any compromise so as to actualise the vision of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
“The objective of establishing the Innovation Hub is to expand the structure of ICT in Kwara, which will further enhance and give room for existing and potential ICT investors to thrive in the state.
“The establishment of the project will create thousands of job opportunities for women and youths across the production value chain,” the director added.
He also said the project would help increase Kwara’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) and boost the state’s economy.
