Kwara commences payment of 2024 CONMESS to medical workers

The Kwara State Government on Wednesday said it has commenced payment of the 2024 consolidated medical salary structure (CONMESS) to medical doctors in the state.
The state Commissioner for Health, Amina El-Imam, said this in Ilorin.
The commissioner, who confirmed the payment of the consolidated salary with arrears, said that with the development, salaries of Kwara State medical practitioners now align with federal standards.
She said, “This ensures equitable compensation for their essential services. The salaries have been disbursed with arrears and reflect the government’s commitment to improving the welfare of healthcare professionals in the state.’’
Ms El-Imam said that the initiative was part of a broader strategy to bolster the state’s healthcare infrastructure and retain skilled medical personnel.
She lauded the Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq-led administration’s dedication to public welfare, particularly in the health sector.
“The recent approval and implementation of the 2024 adjusted CONMESS for doctors brings Kwara in line with the federal government salary structure,” she said.
