Kogi APC candidate Ododo introduced to Buhari; confident of victory at guber polls

Ahmed Usman Ododo, the APC governorship candidate in Kogi, met President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday.
As a result, he expressed confidence that he would emerge victorious at the gubernatorial election bill for November this year.
Mr Ododo spoke to State House correspondents after he was introduced to Mr Buhari by his sponsor, Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi.
Mr Ododo emerged the Kogi APC governorship candidate through a direct primary election on April 14 and was ratified through a special Congress of the party on April 15.
He said he is committed to building on the developmental strides of the Yahaya Bello administration, if elected.
On his part, Mr Bello expressed delight in the capacity of the APC candidate to deliver more wins for the party in the state. He assured Kogi residents of continuity in the infrastructure renewal master-plan, which his administration had undertaken for more than seven years.
He reiterated that the APC in Kogi State was one united family, noting that the party was very well positioned to win the next governorship election, landslide.
Meanwhile, Mr Buhari advised the party in Kogi State to embark on issue-based election campaigns so as to ensure the party retains the state in the coming elections.
