Kelechi Iheanacho joins Middlesbrough on loan from Sevilla

English Championship side Middlesbrough have announced the signing of Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho on loan from La Liga club Sevilla, the club said in a statement on Monday.
“Nigerian international Kelechi Iheanacho has joined the club on loan until the end of the season,” the statement read. “The former Manchester City and Leicester City marksman joins from La Liga side Sevilla.”
Iheanacho was presented to fans before Middlesbrough’s top-of-the-table match against Sunderland at Riverside Stadium on Monday evening.
The 28-year-old had joined Sevilla on a free transfer last summer following the expiration of his contract with Leicester City but has struggled to get playing time, managing only 11 appearances — most from the bench.
In over 300 career appearances, the former Manchester City player has scored 85 goals and on the international stage he has netted 15 goals in 57 games.
He will hope to return to his best form on his return to England.
